Getting started

Install the skill with npx skills add topoteretes/cognee
Install Cognee with uv pip install "cognee[gliner]"
Store text with cognee-cli remember and query it with cognee-cli recall; try cognee-cli demo for a prebuilt graph
For generated answers, set LLM_API_KEY or create a .env file

Before you install

Requires Python 3.10 to 3.14. It runs locally on small models with no API key; once a key is set it uses OpenAI by default and processing makes provider calls.
